  • Read "The Minister's Black Veil" w/ audio support
    • WS in class: Character Wheel about Reverend Hooper
  • Voc. 3 due by 4 PM

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 15:
  • QUIZ: "The Minister's Black Veil"
  • WS's due upon arrival (Character Wheel)
  • Collect information about Rev. Hooper to extend Character Wheel assignment

  • Video: A Day With the Concord Writers
  • Write a reaction: Which author did you identify with most? Why?

FRIDAY, SEPT. 17: CONSTITUTION DAY!

  • Read Benjamin Franklin's "Speech in the Convention" in class.
  • Although Franklin suggest that a perfect Constitution will never be created, he gives numerous reasons why the delegates should support it even though it is not perfect.
    • Complete a graphic organizer from the text of the speech giving a minimum of four reasons.
    • Discuss
  • Graphic organizers due by end of class
